Keep the timeline and care record together
Write down when the condition changed and any alarms or display messages. Include a recent power interruption, move or defrosting attempt. These details help distinguish the original complaint from changes that happened afterward.
Keep food-safety decisions separate from the repair estimate: repairing a freezer does not establish that its contents remained safe. Ask what operation was checked after the repair and what observations you should report if the original symptom returns.
