The drum moved. The heat was missing.
The complaint in this repair was specific: the Samsung dryer tumbled, but it did not heat. Mark opens the video with the heater housing in his hands, showing the metal can, the element inside it and the temperature-control components attached to the outside.
That close look gives the rest of the visit context. The heating element is one component within an assembly. Seeing the drum rotate does not establish that this separate heating system is working.
Part of the work happened before arriving
At about 0:45, Mark explains that he is fitting a new element inside a heater can before going to the customer’s home. The video follows that preparation rather than jumping straight from a box of parts to a finished dryer.
Preparing the assembly beforehand helps explain the sequence: the early bench work and the later removal of the customer’s heater are different stages of the same video. The customer’s model and the findings still determine the correct repair.
The old heater gets checked
Later, with access to the heater, Mark demonstrates an electrical continuity check on the old element and identifies the missing circuit as the problem. He also discusses checking for a short to the housing and checking the protective components.
The distinction matters: replacing a heater assembly does not mean every part attached to it has failed. The video does not establish that the thermostat and fuse were both defective, so they are not described as separate failures here. This is a record of professional service work, not a model-independent testing procedure.
The visit ends with a heating check
After reassembly, Mark reports that heat is working and calls the repair successful. That is the immediate result reported in this video; it is not a record of later customer use or a guarantee that the same part will resolve another dryer’s complaint.
Keep the dryer’s guards and safety switches intact. The video includes a technician’s door-switch demonstration; homeowners should not copy that method.
